Bolt
Select the Bolt tab on the Input screen to configure a hex-head bolt.
Fields
Section titled “Fields”Metric size
Section titled “Metric size”Select an ISO metric thread size (e.g. M6, M8, M10) from the dropdown. Choosing a size auto-fills the diameter, head width, and head height with ISO metric standard values. You can override any field after selecting a size.
Thread length
Section titled “Thread length”The length of the threaded portion of the bolt shaft, in mm or inches depending on your unit setting.
Shank length
Section titled “Shank length”The length of the unthreaded grip area between the head and the thread.
Set to 0 if the bolt is fully threaded.
Preset dimensions
Section titled “Preset dimensions”The Preset dimensions section (collapsible, labelled ISO metric standard) shows the standard values for the selected metric size:

These are editable. Tap any field to enter a custom value.
Validation
Section titled “Validation”Fields marked with a ! icon will warn you if a value is missing or out of the expected range for the selected metric size. Correct the value before tapping +.
